What to Expect at Your First Visit

Measuring Change, Not Guessing

At Adjusting to Health, your first visit is not a rushed adjustment or a generic consultation. It's designed to gather the right information, not to rush decisions or guess outcomes.

It is a thorough assessment appointment focused on understanding your spine, nervous system, and goals so we can determine the most appropriate next steps.

We don’t guess. We test.

Step 1: Understanding You and Your Goals

Your visit begins with a detailed discussion about:

  • Your current concerns and symptoms if present
  • How these issues are affecting your daily life
  • What you would ideally like to improve or get back to doing

Clear goal setting is an important part of this process.
It ensures that any recommendations made later are aligned with what actually matters to you.

Step 2: Posture Screen and Spinal Health Assessment

Your Chiropractor will then complete a comprehensive spinal health assessment, which may include:

  • Neurological testing
  • Digital posture screening
  • Spinal movement and alignment assessment
  • Functional and orthopaedic checks where appropriate

This assessment looks beyond symptoms to understand how well your spine and nervous system are functioning as a whole.

Step 3: Safety First - Imaging and Further Investigation

If your examination findings indicate the need for further investigation, your Chiropractor may recommend medical imaging such as X-ray, CT, or MRI. This is done only when clinically indicated, and always with your safety as the priority.

Not every patient requires imaging. If it is, it's often specific, so it's best to leave it up to our professional team to refer and guide you through the process rather than getting imaging under the guidance of another provider.

Step 4: Treatment May or May Not Occur on the First Visit

Some patients may receive treatment on their first visit. Others may not.

If it is not safe or appropriate to begin care on day one, treatment will be deferred until all necessary information has been gathered.

This conservative approach is intentional and reflects our commitment to safe, appropriate Chiropractic care.

What Happens After Your First Visit?

The next step is to book your Problem & Solution Report, which forms part of our
Report of Findings process within the Health Blueprint™.

At this appointment, we will:

  • Explain your findings clearly
  • Connect your results back to your symptoms and goals
  • Outline appropriate care options moving forward
  • Nothing is rushed. Everything is explained.
