Progress Examinations & Reviews

Measuring Change, Not Guessing

At Adjusting to Health, we don’t assume progress.

We measure it.

Progress Exams are a structured part of the Health Blueprint™ Process, designed to ensure your care remains appropriate, effective, and aligned with your goals over time.

We believe that structured progress exams are they key to success with Chiropractic care.

What Is a Progress Exam?

A Progress Exam is a scheduled re-assessment where your Chiropractor reviews how your body is responding to care.

Rather than relying on symptoms alone, we reassess key clinical markers to determine whether:

  • Your nervous system function is improving
  • Spinal movement and posture are changing
  • Your body is adapting as expected
  • Your care plan remains appropriate

This ensures decisions are based on evidence, not assumptions.

Why Progress Exams Matter

Symptoms can fluctuate, our examinations assess function.

Progress Exams help us determine whether changes are:

  • Meaningful & Sustainable
  • Aligned with long-term spinal and nervous system health

Without re-assessment, care becomes guesswork and that’s not how we practise.

This is one of the reasons GPs are comfortable referring patients to our clinics.

What Happens During a Progress Exam

Your Progress Exam may include:

  • Review of symptom patterns and function
  • Re-assessment of posture and spinal movement
  • Neurological re-checks where clinically indicated
  • Review of goals and daily function
  • Discussion of next steps

Findings are explained clearly so you understand what’s changing and why it matters.

Modified Care When Needed

Progress Exams allow us to:

  • Continue care when progress is appropriate
  • Modify care if adaptation slows
  • Reduce or transition care when goals are met
  • Refer out if something new emerges

This ensures care remains clinically justified at every stage.

Part of the Health Blueprint™ Process

Progress Exams are not optional add-ons.

They are a core part of how we practise safe, evidence-informed Chiropractic care and ensure we remain AHPRA compliant.

They work alongside:

  • Your Initial Consultation
  • Your Report of Findings
  • Ongoing Care Phases

Selectiveness Is Part of the Process

The Health Blueprint™ Process includes clear professional boundaries.

We do not accept every case and will refer out when:

  • Chiropractic care is not appropriate
  • Red flags are present
  • Another healthcare provider is better suited

This selectiveness is intentional and central to patient safety.
